We are sharing some photos of the beautiful testimony by streaming that Olatz and Vanessa from Spain shared with us, after their experience at the Fundación María de Belén in Goya (Argentina) during the summer holidays. sisters and young people from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Spain, France, Italy, India and Ivory Coast shared with us.
Olatz, a social worker in Bilbao began by sharing with us:
"The tasks to be carried out included school support, development of various workshops, leisure and free time activities, breakfasts, snacks, preparing meals so that most vulnerable families could have a hot and at nutritious meal at home and team meetings.
This experience (volunteering in Goya) has helped me to have a broader vision of another culture, of life and above all to have other keys and perspectives from which to understand, focus, intervene and listen to people."
For Vanessa, it was also a beautiful personal experience:
"I must highlight the days we spent at the foundation, María de Belén, with the children. The best part of the volunteering was being able to spend time with the children, getting to know each one of them and helping them with what they needed. The personal circumstances of each one were not an impediment to creating a bond, but quite the opposite.
I was shocked to see the reality of the poorest communities and that despite the circumstances, the children came with enthusiasm and eargerness to learn and have a good time."
If you want to be part of this wonderful experience, write to us! You will see that "when you finish volunteering you return to your reality with a different way of thinking and seeing things, it makes you question whether you are living your life as you want to, if you have made the most of your time and valued what really matters", says Vanessa.
